This romantic cabin is tucked away at the heart of the countryside just a short distance from Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina and is the perfect place for a romantic getaway for two. The cabin has stunning heart pine floors and white-washed old spruce and poplar beadboard walls which truly makes this property one-of-a-kind and adds to its authentic, rustic feel. Guests will enjoy a gorgeous queen-size bed and will be kept cozy in the evenings by an electric log stove in the bedroom. There is a bathroom with a bathtub, and all towels and linens are provided.
In the living room, guests will find plenty of comfortable furniture, as well as a TV with Direct TV and a toasty gas log stove. The kitchen has everything guests might need in terms of cooking facilities, so guests may rest assured that they will be able to prepare their favorite meals during their stay in the cabin.
Outside, guests will find a deck with Adirondack chairs that look out on to the simply magnificent surrounding countryside which includes a charming polar grove, an expansive lake, and the French Broad River. Guests will also have their own firepit which is sure to add a touch of atmosphere to their romantic evenings under the stars.
Guests are assured that without even leaving the property itself, they will have an unbeatable North Carolina experience, thanks to the extensive facilities they will have access to. There are several miles of hiking and biking trails around the property that guests are encouraged to explore, as well as a bamboo forest, a wildlife sanctuary, and a bird sanctuary which is home to over 140 species of bird. There is also an eight-acre lake which is perfect for canoeing and kayaking, as well as several ponds where guests can do some catch and release fishing.
Furthermore, the property is an environmentally-friendly facility which aims to minimize its carbon footprint. Therefore, guests will find that the property’s hot water is generated by solar power and that all cabins are constructed out of recycled materials.
