This cabin is the ideal spot for a mountain getaway, and can accommodate a maximum of four glampers. There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms inside, and it is wonderfully furnished with wood floors, comfy furniture, and natural light. The main level bedroom has a queen-size bed, while the loft bedroom offers the choice of a pair of twin beds OR a king-size bed...guests' choice.

In the living room, glampers can relax and unwind on the comfy sofa while watching their favorite show on basic cable television or streaming over the internet. There are books filled with short stories for getting lost in a few pages before bed, as well as board games to keep the family busy after dinner while the wood-burning fireplace warms up the cabin. The kitchen is fully-equipped.

Outside, glampers can enjoy the large covered deck with hot tub that will soothe your aches and pains from an action-packed day. The porch is furnished with rockers from which glampers can enjoy a morning cup of coffee and views of the Cane River below deck.

Just a short walk away is a community riverfront park with covered pavilion and a large fire pit and plenty of grassy area for kicking a ball or tossing a Frisbee. Fly fishing is popular along this stretch of the Cane River, so fishing enthusiasts should be sure to bring their fishing gear and NC fishing license.

Glampers have complimentary access to river tubes during the summer months.

Burnsville is home to Mt Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River, the Mount Mitchell Craft Fair (first weekend in Aug annually), some of the most talented craft artisans in the country, a live performing arts theater, the historic Yancey Movie Theater, dining options offering local musical entertainment and endless miles of mountain hiking (including right outside the cabin's front door).

The Mount Mitchell Crafts Fair (first weekend in August annually) and Carolina Mountains Literary Festivals are also great for ambling around and experiencing our local, Western North Carolina culture. If you have an appreciation for arts and crafts by true talented artisans, Burnsville is home to more than 100 whose crafts are on display and available for purchase from from a handful or galleries in and near town. The Toe River Arts Counsel hosts studio tours of artist personal studios to witness up front and personal their craft in the making. These self-guided tours are schedules a weekend in June and a weekend in December annually.

Pets are welcome for an extra fee per night, per pet (maximum of two). Pet owners are asked to please clean up after their pets and bring along comfortable sleeping beds for pets as we do not permit pets on the furniture or beds, regardless of size or habit.

Guests are required to pay a cleaning fee, as well as a small extra guest fee for any extra guest more than four guests staying in the cabin (up to six maximum guests in a cabin).
