Perfect for a getaway in nature with a loved one, this rustic treehouse getaway near West Jefferson, North Carolina, is built around a live tree, which grows through the center of this hexagon-shaped cabin. This wonderful space is tucked up high on the hillside with a flight of stairs to access the treetop cabin.

This is a primitive camping cabin that is perfect for two people. It is furnished with a memory foam full-size platform bed. The hosts provide sheets, pillows, blankets, and bath towels for this cabin. It has real windows and doors with screens to feel the cool mountain breezes. Guests have access to a "bathhouse" nearby with a flush toilet, a hot water shower, and a sink.

There is a charcoal BBQ available for guests to use next to the private cabin deck. Dogs are allowed if prearranged for an additional fee.

Most weekends require a 2-night minimum stay. Guests should inquire with the host if they are looking to stay just 1 night on a weekend as the hosts can sometimes accommodate that request. Major holidays have a 3-night minimum stay.

These cabins are all surrounded by a historic Healing Spring, which is purported to have curative powers. All glampers can enjoy access to a large main lodge that has Wi-Fi access throughout. In case visitors are in the mood for grilling, the host provides tripod barbecues to use over the wood-burning fire pits.
