This peaceful log cabin rental is located outside of the Smokies in Robbinsville, North Carolina, and accommodates six guests. Perfect for guests with accessibility needs, there are two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The spacious master bedroom, located on ground level, treats guests to a queen-size bed with direct access to the covered porch, and a private ensuite bathroom with a roll-in shower and bathtub. The second bedroom, located in the loft that overlooks the living room, offers a queen-size bed with quilted coverlet, and a private bathroom as well. Linens and towels are provided, as well as a hairdryer, and shampoos.
With wood floors and cathedral ceilings, the living room offers an open space with sleeper sofa and a rock wood-burning fireplace that provides warmth on chilly nights in the high mountain region. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with all necessary appliances, including a microwave, a toaster, and a coffeemaker. An oak dining table with four chairs is close by, as well as double doors that lead to outdoor porch. This cabin, which does not have Wi-Fi, invites guests to disconnect from their devices and reconnect with nature, however, Wi-Fi is accessible in the main office. This area of North Carolina, which borders Tennessee, has an abundance of activities for visitors. Only a half hour drive from the accommodation is Bryson City, where visitors can find numerous hiking trails and watersports activities. For thrillseekers, there is whitewater rafting at the Tuckasegee River and kayaking at Lake Fontana, where there are guided paddling tours and zip-lining tours with the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Lake Fontana also offers boating, fishing, and stand-up paddleboarding. Visitors can rent mountain bikes for riding along the Tsali Trail system or Flint Ridge Trail. There is also the famous Great Smoky Mountain Railroad passenger train that offers stunning views of the picturesque Nantahala River and winds its way through river gorges, valleys, and carved mountain tunnels.
