Surrounded by forest and overlooking Nantahala Lake, this mountain getaway cabin is located in the Topton, North Carolina, area of Nantahala National Forest and can accommodate six guests. There are three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed and private balcony. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, a wardrobe, and an overhead ceiling fan. The third bedroom has two twin-size beds surrounded by wooden floors, walls, and ceiling. In the bathrooms, guests will find vessel sinks, bathtubs/showers, toilets, and mirrors. Linens and towels are provided.
The majestic ground floor features an open-plan living room and dining room, with a lofty, vaulted ceiling and a stunning array of wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors, opening onto the deck and looking out at a breathtaking view of the lake. Here, guests can relax in splendor, with an extra large corner sofa, an armchair, an ottoman, and a coffee table set beneath an elegant chandelier, facing out toward a fireplace and flat-screen television. Indoor refreshments can be served at both a dining table and a bar, which is accompanied by unique barstools with bases made out of tree trunks. Next to the bar, guests will find another coffee table, fireplace, and flat-screen television.
The fully equipped kitchen provides ample space for cooking and an island bar with stools for an additional space to enjoy food and drinks. Additional indoor amenities include Wi-Fi, phone service, and satellite television. Outside, guests can enjoy the view of the lake from an expansive wraparound deck, which features an outdoor dining table, rocking chairs, a grill, and a hot tub.
A range of modern amenities and comforts are available in the accommodations, including Wi-Fi, central heating and air conditioning, local phone service, flat screen televisions, and a washer/dryer. Outside, visitors have access to fire pits and hot tubs for relaxation.

The opportunities for outdoor adventure are nearly endless, both on land and on water. On land, visitors can go hiking in the surrounding Nantahala National Forest or the nearby Joyce Kilmer Forest, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Bartram Trail, and Appalachian Trail. Besides hiking, there are a number of other ways they can explore the landscape—from zip-line tours, canopy tours, and Jeep tours, to horseback riding, mountain biking, and driving along the Mountain Waters Scenic Byway. Lakes End Marina is a full-service marina offers gas, snacks, sundry items, bait and all of the supplies glampers will need for a great day on the lake or the mountains. They offer paddle boards, sail boats, pontoon boats, ski boats, bass boat, canoes, and kayaks.
On the water, visitors can rent pontoon boats, fishing boats, ski boats, canoes, and kayaks, as well as go wake boarding, jet skiing, and rafting, with both guided and unguided trips available from local companies. For a more low-key outing on the lake, visitors can go on a dinner cruise. The lake is also a prime location for fishing, with many species of fish, including trout, bass, sunfish, crappie, salmon, and walleye.
For shopping and dining, visitors can go to a nearby general store, fishing equipment store, rustic market, and various restaurants, as well as the on-site outdoor supply store, cafe, and grill. For entertainment and edification, they can take advantage of a number of golf courses, the Smoky Mountain Center for the Performing Arts, the Andrews Twin Cinema, the Ruby City Gem Museum, the Macon County Historical Society Museum, and the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad.
