Due to its proximity to the Blue Ridge Mountains, hiking is naturally very popular in this area and the cabin is a great base from which to set out. Hunting and fishing are also enjoyed nearby, so bring some gear or rent it and head out into the wilds to see what can be found. Many local vineyards hold wine tastings, which is a nice alternative to being out all day and especially good for evening times! There are two golf courses in the vicinity if hitting off a few rounds is the order of the day, or why not get the blood pumping with some white water rafting! For a more relaxing day, head over to one of the many lakes in the area for a peaceful dip or spend an afternoon drifting about on a boat on Lake Lure. This county is also famous for its equestrian events, particularly at weekends, and this cabin is very well-placed for checking those out.
