This charming comfortable cottage rental is surrounded by natural maritime forests in Kiawah Island, South Carolina. It can accommodate six guests comfortably. There are three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom features a queen-size bed, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom with a vanity, a tub/shower combination, and a toilet. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds while the third bedroom has a queen-size bed. These two rooms share the second full bathroom which features a vanity, a tub/shower combination, and a toilet. Linens and towels are provided.
The living room feels spacious, yet cozy with its high ceilings and wood-burning fireplace. It has a coordinating plush sofa and loveseat and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV. The dining divides the living room from the kitchen and features an oval glass table surrounded by six wicker chairs. There is a sliding glass door opening onto the screened porch and offering "outdoor" dining at the table for six. The screened porch opens on to the sun deck, which has built-in seating and a BBQ.
The kitchen features hardwood floors, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. It comes fully equipped with a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, and a dishwasher. Small appliances include a microwave, a toaster, and a coffeemaker. Cookware, dinnerware, and all utensils are provided. There is a look through from the kitchen into the foyer area where a high top breakfast table is situated. This would be a lovely place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee.

The cottages in this area are within a short walk or bike ride from everything, whether convenience or recreational. From shopping and dining in Freshfields Village to golf and tennis at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, all are easily reached by bike on the more than 30 miles of paved trails spanning Kiawah. Even more convenient is the beach... the ocean is right across the street! Kiawah is 20 minutes from Seabrook Island and 26 minutes from John's Island. The opposing West Beach Village is just seven minutes away. The "Holy City" of Charleston is 43 minutes away and has been voted the number one city in the world by Travel and Leisure. Guests staying here can easily enjoy a relaxing or active day without having to get in the car to go anywhere. With the ocean just across the street, guests can easily pack their gear and head to the beach for the day to do some swimming, leisurely strolling, or simply relaxing in the sand. Nearby bike trails will lead the way across the island and to many popular attractions.
Kiawah Island is a nature lovers haven. It is on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean and offers ten miles of white sandy beaches, 123 acres of parks, and 30 miles of hiking and biking trails. Marsh Island Park Lookout Tower is the ideal spot to take in the stunning views of the Kiawah River, saltwater marshes, and surrounding islands. The Heron Park Nature Centre is sure to appeal to animal lovers where they can participate in nature tours and programs and go on birding, butterfly, and alligator walks. The Great Egret Rookery may allow bird lovers to catch sight of several dozen of the magnificent white birds in trees over a lagoon. Golf on Kiawah Island is said to be "a way of life." There are five championship courses on the island that have played host to many championship tournaments over the years.

Charleston can easily fill days with all it has to offer visitors. A boat trip across to Fort Sumter takes visitors to one of the most popular attractions in Charleston. It is here that the strife between the North and South came to a head in April of 1861 and the American Civil War began. There is an education center, a small museum, a shop, as well as several monuments to be explored.
Charleston Tea Plantation is situated on Wadmalaw Island and is America’s ONLY working tea garden. Trips to the Plantation will offer deep insight into tea and plantation culture. Just down the street from the Plantation is the Firefly Distillery. The two go hand-in-hand as the Distillery produces vodkas using tea from the Plantation. Sweet Tea Vodka, Raspberry Tea Vodka, Peach Tea Vodka, and Mint Tea Vodka are just a few of the items produced at the Distillery. Perhaps most noteworthy though is the Southern Lemonade Vodka which can only be purchased at the Distillery itself. Charleston also offers endless shopping opportunities. From high-end Gucci and designer jewelry to souvenir shops and bookstores and everything in between, no one will go home empty-handed. Another leisurely option is booking in at one of the many day spas for a relaxing massage, a manicure/pedicure, or even some meditation and yoga.
Those looking for action and adventure will find plenty of watersports and on-land activities. A day on the water can be spent sailing or dolphin and whale watching or fishing on a charter. Smaller scale water fun includes paddle boarding, kayaking,
surfing, windsurfing, and kite sailing. On land, there are numerous parks and trails about perfect for walking, biking, and hiking.
