This tremendous vacation rental is across from the beach and is located near Charleston, South Carolina. It can accommodate 10 guests comfortably.
There are five bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and one-half bathroom. The main level suite features a queen-size four-poster canopy-style bed, a vibrant red wardrobe which houses a TV with DVD/VCR combo, and a sliding door leading to the deck with views of the lagoon. The ensuite bathroom features a vanity, tub/shower combination, and a toilet.
The remaining bedrooms and bathrooms are located on the second floor. The master suite features a king-size bed, a flat-screen TV with a VCR, and a private bathroom with a dual-sink vanity, a corner whirlpool tub, a separate shower, and a toilet. The second suite also has a king-size bed, a TV with DVD/VCR, and a private bathroom with a vanity, a whirlpool tub/shower combination, and a toilet. This room features views of the lagoon. The third bedroom has a queen-size four-poster bed and a TV with DVD/VCR. The final bedroom features three twin-size beds and a TV with VCR. These rooms share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with a vanity, a tub/shower combination, and a toilet. There is a portable crib available and linens and towels are provided.
The main floor living room features a comfy sofa and loveseat, a wood-burning fireplace, and a TV with DVD player. Two sets of French doors lead to the back deck. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, and two dishwashers. Small appliances include a microwave, a toaster, a blender, and a coffeemaker. There is a large, square center island ideal for food prep and service. There is a small breakfast table that seats four and the breakfast bar can seat another four. Cookware, dinnerware, and all utensils are provided. The dining area is off the kitchen and has a long glass-topped wooden table with seating for eight. There is a high chair available for little ones. A separate den and half bathroom complete this floor. The den has an abundance of comfortable seating as well as a flat-screen TV with DVD. The half bathroom features a vanity and a toilet.
Other amenities include air-conditioning, central heat, Wi-Fi, a telephone, cable/satellite TV, and a washer and dryer.
Outside, the massive deck is the perfect place to spend some downtime enjoying the lush views. There is an outdoor shower perfect for washing away the sand after a day at the beach, which is just across the street and has convenient access. This gorgeous vacation rental comes equipped with everything guests will need for a convenient and enjoyable stay. Air-conditioning and central heat offer year-round climate control. This property is situated in the Vanderhorst Plantation area of Kiawah Island, a primarily residential beach community, in South Carolina. It is at the midway point of the popular Freshfields Village and Bohicket Marina and right across the street from the beach. Kiawah is 20 minutes from Seabrook Island and 26 minutes from John's Island.
The "Holy City" of Charleston is 50 minutes away and has been voted the number one city in the world by Travel and Leisure. It is here that the site of the first shot in the Civil War can be found. The popular Beachwalker Park is located on the west side of the island, just 12 minutes from the property. It offers the only public beach access on the island. Guests staying here are just a short walk or bike ride away from the beach. Some beach gear, sunscreen, and a picnic lunch are all that is needed to spend a sunny day at the beach swimming, going for a leisurely stroll, or simply relaxing in the sand and soaking up the sun.
The nearby Beachwalker Park is another great place to spend a day at the beach. Chairs and umbrellas can be rented for comfort and there are lifeguards stationed along the water. A snack bar and BBQ grills make for a convenient picnic lunch. John's Island Park is a lovely setting with trails for hiking, running, and horseback riding. There is also a pond and for fun, disc golf. CawCaw Interactive Center has trails perfect for a long walk and also several exhibits and wildlife to be seen.
Charleston can easily fill days with all it has to offer visitors. A boat trip across to Fort Sumter takes visitors to one of the most popular attractions in Charleston. It is here that the strife between the North and South came to a head in April of 1861 and the American Civil War began. There is an education center, a small museum, a shop, as well as several monuments to be explored.
Charleston Tea Plantation is situated on Wadmalaw Island and is America’s ONLY working tea garden. Trips to the Plantation will offer deep insight into tea and plantation culture. Just down the street from the Plantation is the Firefly Distillery. The two go hand-in-hand as the Distillery produces vodkas using tea from the Plantation. Sweet Tea Vodka, Raspberry Tea Vodka, Peach Tea Vodka, and Mint Tea Vodka are just a few of the items produced at the Distillery. Perhaps most noteworthy though is the Southern Lemonade Vodka which can only be purchased at the Distillery itself. Charleston also offers endless shopping opportunities. From high-end Gucci and designer jewelry to souvenir shops and bookstores and everything in between, no one will go home empty-handed. Another leisurely option is booking in at one of the many day spas for a relaxing massage, a mani/pedi, or even some meditation and yoga.
Those looking for action and adventure will find plenty of watersports and on-land activities. A day on the water can be spent sailing, dolphin and whale watching or fishing on a charter. Smaller scale water fun includes paddle boarding, kayaking,
surfing, windsurfing, and kite sailing. On land, there are numerous parks and trails about perfect for walking, biking, and hiking. Kiawah and surrounding islands also offer many excellent options for those looking to play a round of golf.
