This rural high-desert camping retreat in the forest of Carson, New Mexico, features a main house and three casitas. The main house has three bedrooms, one and a half bathrooms, and can sleep up to nine guests comfortably.

The living room features two comfortable couches around a wood stove. Next to the living room is the dining area that seats 14 to 17 in addition to other outdoor eating areas. In the large, fully-equipped kitchen guests will find modern appliances and everything necessary to cook some great meals. Outside on the back patio, there is an outdoor fire pit and furniture. The stunning greenhouse is brimming abundantly with herbs and vegetables most of the year.

Additional sleeping space is available in the form of three casitas or little houses. The Straw Bale Casita, constructed out of straw bales as its name suggests, features one queen-size bed as well a water closet. The Adobe Casita is a studio with a full-size bed but no plumbing. The Green Hut Casita is very zen and has a twin bed, but no plumbing or electricity. Depending on the need, a combination of these casitas may be rented in addition to the Main House. All the spaces are nicely appointed and there are additional bathrooms in the Studio building nearby.

This unique property features a lovely 1,800 square-foot home, part Adobe and part frame, another beautiful Adobe home, approximately 1200 square feet, as well as four casitas, two tipis, three tents, and a camper trailer. The property itself consists of 55 acres, two walking trails, two fire pits, a spiral labyrinth, a fantastic greenhouse for daily greens, and plenty of peace and tranquility.

The buildings are well-appointed with modern amenities and plenty of books and board games for some old-fashioned indoor entertainment. There is Wi-Fi in both of the houses, but no cable television. The three-mile dirt road is passable year round, and gives guests the feeling that they are "out there".

A cafe and general store are both within three miles if guests have forgotten something or just want some local flavor. A caretaker lives on the premises and will give glampers a brief welcome and orientation upon arrival. This place is for those who love being in nature but prefer not to rough it. It's absolutely gorgeous!
