This property is the legendary Lyons and Campbell Ranch headquarters, which anchored an Historic Old West Ranch that was once a million acre Cattle Empire from the 1890's. The earliest part of the ranch is a Spanish Hacienda dating from 1810. The main house is a museum decorated with period art and antiques. There is a jail, saloon, theater, gallery, and chapel, along with a beautiful swimming pool and bathhouse with hot tub. It is the core setting in the village of Gila, New Mexico, and is the ultimate destination for escaping the hustle and bustle of the city.

The site is surrounded by the remarkable landscapes of the Gila Wilderness, and three million acre Gila National Forest including its golden aspen forest, majestic Mogollon Mountains, and the flowing Gila River. Visitors can venture two hours to the Gila Cliff Dwellings National Monument which offers a glimpse of the area's ancient residents, and visit the Historic mining town of Pinos Altos and its historic saloon along the way.

The historic mountain ghost town of Mogollon and the "catwalk" are a great day's excursion the opposite direction. Guests can spend a day upriver exploring the natural hot springs of Turkey Creek just hang out at the ranch, lounge by the pool, play or listen to music in the Gallery, or chill in the old saloon. 45 miles away is the Silver City/Grant County airport with service to Phoenix AZ, and Albuquerque NM on Boutique Airlines.

No smoking except in designated areas. Dogs are permitted at an extra cost per night. Two large Newfoundlands, Gunnar and Brenna, very big, very friendly, call the property home.
