According to legends, the infamous outlaw Billy the Kid himself stayed at this very cabin. Nestled under a large walnut tree, the recently-renovated cabin includes a queen-size bed, accommodating up to two guests, in addition to a bathroom, seating areas, and a library containing an eclectic range of books. Coffee lovers need not fret, as there is a coffeemaker available, as well. The cabin also boasts large windows with uninterrupted views of the Gila National Forest and mountains outside.

Guests also have access to the property's grounds, which includes a full kitchen with everything a guest may need for a delicious home-cooked meal, including a microwave, a refrigerator, a toaster oven, and a propane grill with a side burner and kitchenware.

Mario’s Pizza and More is open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 4-8 pm.
Alma Grill is open daily (except Thursday) from 6 am - 3 pm.
The Alma Store stocks frozen meals and freshly made sandwiches. Open daily 7 am - 7 pm
The Glenwood Trading Post stocks snacks. Open daily 8 am - 8 pm.

Guests will find the kitchen with boxed soups, Ramen noodles, coffee, teas, spices, cooking oils, and much more.
In the summer months, the host provides fruit and vegetables from the garden and orchard.
Continental breakfast is available at $5 per guest. Guests may also request to have lunch and dinner provided at an additional cost.

With a rich history that dates back to the Old West outlaws during gold rush days, all the way to prehistoric native Mogollon society, this property is bordered by the Gila National Forest. Some points of interest include the various picturesque mountains surrounding the valley, such as Holt Mountain and Brushy Mountain, the San Fransisco River running through Glenwood from the north, the cascading Whitewater Creek flowing from the east, as well as the Aldo Leopold Wilderness further out, which has the distinction of being the first wilderness area established in the nation. The area is notable for having dark skies that are ideal for stargazing, offering spectacular views of the stars above and giving an otherworldly cosmic backdrop to the vast landscape.

The area boasts endless opportunities to explore the spectacular landscape. With the many varieties of birds and other animals found in this part of the world, photographers, bird watchers, and wildlife enthusiasts will all have plenty of magnificent sights to behold. Glenwood is known for the Catwalk National Recreation Trail, Gila National Forest, and the Aldo Leopold Wildness, meaning glampers will have an abundance of space in which to enjoy hiking, horseback riding, fishing, and relaxing. Cosmic Campground, the first Dark Sky Sanctuary in North America, can also be found in close proximity to the property. At night, the dark skies are perfect for stargazing.
