The rental has a twin-over-full bunk bed, as well as a full-size futon, a twin-size fold out bed, and floor mats for additional guests. This yurt also has a hammock to hang outside. Glampers will need to bring sleeping bags. The space is heated by a woodburning stove and lighted by propane lanterns. There are basic cooking supplies, that include a propane stove, pots, pans, cooking utensils, spices and cooking oil spray; as well as plates, bowls, cups and silverware. The hosts provide up to 21 gallons of potable water.
Outside, guests have a picnic area, perfect for al fresco dining, and there is a fire pit with seating. Guests can look forward to heading back to the yurt after a busy day of activities, and sitting around the fire, roasting s'mores or enjoying a cool beer as the sun sets on another fun-filled day.

The proximity of Carson National Forest, the Rio Grande, the Red River Ski and Summer Area, and the Enchanted Forest make Red River a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The mountain pass known as Bobcat Pass is located along the Enchanted Circle Scenic Byway. It's popular with mountain bikers, as is the Red River Nature Trail. Guests can step out of the yurt and take off on a hiking adventure into the Enchanted Forest. or they can try a horseback riding tour through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains with Red River Stables. Fishing is also a popular activity.
Guests can go downhill skiing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, tubing and cross-country skiing at Carson National Forest, Enchanted Forest Ski Area, and Red River Ski and Summer Area. Snowshoes and gear can be rented from Sitzmark Sports. The Wild Rivers section of the beautiful and rugged Rio Grande del Norte National Monument is about 45 minutes away from this yurt.

Guests must supply their own bedding and sleeping bags. Sleeping bags rated for 30 degrees are recommended.
Guests will want to pack lightly, as they have to hike to the yurt.
In winter guests have to ski or snowshoe to property
In summer guests can either hike or bike to property.
In winter guests have to pay for a trail pass, which can be purchased in the base Lodge upon arrival.
The hosts can drive guests´ gear out to yurt via snowmobile for an extra $50. Gear delivery needs to be arranged ahead of time. Guest can call host once the booking is confirmed.
