This truly is glamping at its finest! Guests can coexist with the outdoors in this remote location above Abiquiu Lake, but sleep in total comfort! This cozy guest room boasts an excellent location on seven acres near Abiquiu Lake in New Mexico and provides the perfect base for glampers to get back in touch with nature. The room comes furnished with a queen-size bed, luxurious linens and pillows, and a private bathroom. There is a large shower, a separate toilet area, and a sink, and towels are also provided.
After an action-packed day, glampers can head back to the guest room and unwind on the comfortable bed. There is a microwave, a toaster oven, and a coffeemaker and for a rustic cooking experience, glampers can fire up the BBQ in the shared outdoor living area. This room is perfect for nature enthusiasts who want to combine the comfort of home with the great outdoors and reconnect with the natural elements.
The property boasts direct access to the great outdoors where glampers will find an array of outdoor pursuits. Hiking trails abound and guests can literally hike from the front door. Glampers should check out the lakefront and bring fishing poles and/or kayaks. Another great day trip is to visit Ghost Ranch, a short 30-minute drive.
The owners will supply guests with lots of information on things to do/see in the area, but the best activity is just staying at the guest room and savoring the panoramic views in every direction.

This vacation cottage boasts an excellent location near Abiquiu Lake in New Mexico and provides the perfect base for glampers to explore some of New Mexico’s important natural landmarks and wilderness areas. Intrepid glampers will be in their element as they explore the network of trails that stretch along riverbeds, carve through canyons, and snake along rugged cliffs. Cerro Pedernal lies in the heart of the Jemez Mountains and offers an eight-mile hike during which glampers can spot wildlife. Furthermore, horseback riding is a popular activity at Ghost Ranch and is a fantastic way to admire the dramatic landscape.
Closer to home, glampers can enjoy exploring Abiquiu Lake and everything that it has to offer. Here, glampers can kayak, canoe, or simply relax on the shores of the lake while others cast a line in the waters. The Chama River is wild and scenic and a mecca for avid anglers. Trout fishing and fly fishing are popular on the river, as well as canoeing, kayaking, and rafting down the Chama River Valley. For a break from the outdoors, glampers can visit the Echo Amphitheater, Plaza Blanca, and the famous Monastery of Christ in the Desert.
Additionally, a getaway to this part of New Mexico isn’t complete without a visit to Georgia O’Keeffe’s studio and home in Abiquiu Village. The world-famous painter’s home can be found in the downtown square and provides an interesting look into her life and what inspired her. Furthermore, the village is home to old adobe ruins and lovely pizza restaurant.
