Enjoy a spectacular romantic getaway in the Virgin Islands with these cottages
There are eight cottages available at this property on Water Island, and each is privately nestled in lush green foliage and has electrical outlets, comfortable beds and linens, a table and chairs inside, lounge chairs and a cooler on the private, ocean-view terrace outside, towels for showering and washing up, beach towels, a bin for groceries, and all the cooking utensils, cutlery and dishware guests will need to prepare a home-cooked meal up in the communal area.
Conveniently located only steps from the cottage on Water Island, guests will find the Bathhouse, which contains modern and clean facilities for washing and showering. Also, all the water for the sinks and showers on the campground is captured rainwater and is heated by solar energy, giving the site a very low environmental footprint.
For specific information on each cottage, see below.
Cottages 1, 3, 5, 7, 8: These cottages have a queen-size bed and a double futon.
Cottages 2, 4, 6 : These cottages are set up with a king-size bed, which can be converted into two twin beds and they have a double futon.

Soft white sand will support glampers' steps, palm trees above provide protection when guests are pruned from swimming and sun exposure, and crystal clear water will coax glampers into a state of calm. Honeymoon Beach is paradise realized. Water Island’s famed beach is a short five minute walk through a wooded trail where wildlife spotting can be a sport. Upon reaching the trailhead, on a clear day glampers will be able to see Puerto Rico off on the horizon as well as a few chickens ambling around in the foreground.
If glampers' version of paradise consists of rugged terrain, seclusion, and superb snorkeling/ scuba diving, head over to Limestone Beach. Here the beach is rocky and great for beach combing, scavenging and spotting birds. Nature is in her is unkempt beauty here at the secluded Limestone Beach. Walk out into the ocean and then dive down into a deep coral reef. After guests arrive at the beach, they won't be able to miss the Tree of Lost Soles, which consists of abandon shoes and flippers hung on a beachside tree. Fortunately, it is the only sign of civilization on this beach. Unlike the gentle consistent slope of Honeymoon Beach, Limestone Bay offers a huge diversity of depths, terrain and plant and animal species.
Fort Segarra was built as part of the United States' defense strategies during World War II to protect the submarine base on St. Thomas, but the war ended before completion of the fort, and the project was abandoned. Glampers can explore the underground tunnels and enjoy the spectacular view from the top of the pillbox. Caution should be exercised when visiting the fort, however, as it is very dark inside, and the floor is peppered with open holes.
