THE GLAMPING UNITS
The Trailhead yurt , also known as the "Honeymoon yurt" overlooks the small private Camp Lake, right near the guest sauna house. It includes a sleeping room for two (one double futon bed), and a kitchen area with pots and pans, dishes, mugs, cutlery, and a two burner propane stove. Outside, there is a BBQ, a picnic table and a wood burning stove with full wood supply. The yurt also features a skylight center, a deck over looking the lake, two star gazing chairs, water supply, and a fire pit. Three outhouses are located right near by.
The Blueberry Yurt is a short 10 - 15 minute hike or ski from the parking area. It is above Camp Lake and gives you a panoramic view of the Canadian Shield. Sit out and stargaze by your own private campfire site or stay warm in the yurt after a sporting day. The yurt includes: a sleeping room for six (two double futon pull out couches and a bunk bed), a kitchen with picnic table, pots and pans, dishes, mugs, cutlery, and a propane stove with four top burners There is also a wood burning stove with full wood supply, an axe and a handsaw. The yurt also features a skylight center, water supply, and outdoor camp fire place. One outhouse is located right near by.
The Bunkhouse yurt is the most popular and deluxe backcountry yurt. It is situated right near the sauna house. It is also a traditional one room living space, but this yurt is larger than the other yurts and it has electricity. It offers guests a sleeping room for up to eleven (three double futon pull out couches, two bunk beds, one top bunk on the futon), electronics, a TV, a VCR with select movies, and a kitchen area with picnic table, pots and pans, dishes, mugs, cutlery, a crockpot and a two burner propane stove. The yurt is heated by a thermostatically controlled, glass door pellet stove, with a supply of easy to load bags of pellets. The yurt also features a skylight center, a glass and screened window, two mosquito nets, water supply, a BBQ, and a camp fire pit. Three outhouses are located right near by.
All the yurts also include pens, pencils, cards, games, and magazines.
The Tipi is a great glamping site for groups and overflow sleeping for the Bunkhouse or Honeymoon Yurt. The Tipi overlooks the Camp Lake. It can sleep up to 7 comfortably and is heated with a wood stove. It features a screen house outside for cooking, a BBQ, water supply, and a fire pit. Three outhouses are located right near by.
