North of the Regional Natural Park of the Volcanoes of Auvergne, your tiny home is set in the heart of nature, just a short distance from Châtel-Guyon, a spa town. Set off to explore the magnificent Chaîne des Puys (30 minutes by car to Puy-de-Dôme and Vulcania), or discover the surrounding landscapes along the many hiking trails! You can also choose a horseback ride departing directly from the refuge to explore this land shaped by volcanoes—sleeping giants—in a unique way.

SPACE
Located on Coralie and Ken’s equestrian center, your hosts, the home offers all the amenities within 14 perfectly optimized square meters for a true nature immersion:

• Convertible bench (1 additional adult – extra sleeping space)
• Kitchenette: refrigerator, gas cooktop, sink

• Bathroom: sink, walk-in shower
• Eco-friendly toilet (dry toilet)
• Soaps, towels, and bed linens provided
• Heating via gas stove
• Ceiling fan for cooling (no air conditioning)
• Outdoor furniture (except during winter): table, chairs & deck chairs • (No barbecue)
• Drinking water provided via a 5-liter fountain
• Tap water: not drinkable (stored in a tank and used for showers and dishwashing)

𖠜 HEATING:
Thanks to its powerful stove, your home becomes a cozy cocoon even when winter temperatures drop outside. Within minutes, enveloping warmth spreads throughout the lodge. A soft, comforting atmosphere—perfect for relaxing with a book by the fire or simply watching the gentle orange flames.

❆ FAN (no air conditioning)
A ceiling fan provides a refreshing breeze over the bed during summer.

𖣔 DINING OPTIONS:
For dining, as an optional extra and with reservation at least 48 hours before your stay (subject to availability after that), Coralie and Ken offer a Wine & Charcuterie basket delivered directly to your refuge for €25.
On-site, you can also book a guided group horseback ride departing from the refuge (from €30 per person for 1 hour). One rider per horse (adult or child). Children are welcome from age 12. Maximum weight per rider: 90 kg (for the well-being of the horses).

✓ GOOD TO KNOW:
The home is fully autonomous and set in nature: electricity is produced by solar panels, cooking and heating run on gas, and running water is stored in a tank. You’ll have your usual comforts, but the idea of alternative living is also to be mindful of your environmental impact.
Therefore, a few rules apply during your stay:
Except for phones and laptops, no other electrical devices may be plugged in besides those provided, as this may damage the solar system. For example, hairdryers, straighteners, or raclette machines are not allowed.
Due to the high wildfire risk in nature, smoking is strictly prohibited in and around the refuge, and no open flames are allowed (no barbecue).
Wastewater is filtered by plants: you must use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dishwashing liquid).
Pets are not allowed in the refuge.

ACCESS
✓ Check-in: from 4:00 PM
✓ Check-out: before 10:00 AM
✓ Key box available for late arrivals
✓ Early check-in may be arranged with your hosts (subject to availability)
✓ Free parking space available near the refuge
✓ Access to the refuge is via an approximately 400-meter dirt road. Low-clearance vehicles (such as sports cars) may have difficulty or scrape in certain areas.

Note: Two homes are located on the equestrian center. You will stay in Refuge No. 2. Both homes are designed to preserve privacy and ensure your personal space during your stay.

NOTES
The home is located on your host’s property, and they live on-site. You may see them during your stay.
There is no Wi-Fi in the accommodation.
The entrance to the refuge is not ground-level and includes a small staircase of 3 steps. The accommodation is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility (PRM).
Bed linens are washed but not ironed.
