Located on the West Coast of New Zealand’s South Island, this delightful historic villa in Kumara makes for an unforgettable getaway for families and groups of friends who want to relax in serene surroundings while having easy access to the area’s top attractions and outdoor pursuits. The villa can sleep 8 guests within its three cozy bedrooms - two rooms feature a queen-size and a twin bed each, while the third room has one queen-size bed. All the rooms have been warmly decorated, have carpeted floors, and boast large windows that offer beautiful views and allow for lots of natural light.

There is a large fully-equipped kitchen where guests can prepare home-cooked meals and it comes complete with an oven, stove, microwave, and fridge freezer; meals can be served at the large dining table. There is an enormous, wood-burning stove that keeps the villa cozy and warm all year round and guests will love sitting beside it with a cup of coffee after a day out.

Outside, guests can enjoy a barbecue meal from the grill and serve it at the outdoor picnic table while surrounded by the colorful gardens and the array of birds that inhabit the trees. This holiday villa is the ideal rental for a rejuvenating escape.

Closer to the property, guests can take a walk or bike along the scenic Wilderness Cycle Trail or check out the Theatre Royal Hotel in Kumara village for good food and a few beers. 30 minutes from the property is the West Coast Treetop Walk, a canopy walkway near the town of Hokitika. Only a short distance away is the historic village at Shantytown, complete with steam train and gold panning, a wonderful activity for the whole family.
