The Roxburgh Gorge Trail is a spectacular one-day ride with historic mining relics, mountain terrain, and views of the turquoise lake below. With some serious hills, this trail is recommended to the more experienced riders. There is also rock climbing at Commissioner's Track, where there are five established climbs that are suitable for beginners through basic grades.

Out on the water, guests have a whole different set of activities available to them. There is a boat ramp at the dam, and the property also offers boat trips. Fishing, water skiing, and boating are very popular on the lake. The Clutha River is New Zealand's second longest river, where anglers can find brown trout and rainbow trout.
