This historic windmill in São Miguel in the Azores was built in the 19th Century and kept in use until the first half of the last century. Though the exact year of construction is unknown, it’s a well-accepted fact that the windmill played a very important part in the economy of the Azores. Guests will have two charming bedrooms, one of which comes with a comfy double bed while the other has a single bed. Linens and towels are kindly provided by the hosts.

In 1999, the windmill was renovated from ruins and rebuilt to maintain the original architecture with a traditional country cottage feel. Now it’s a lovely glamping getaway where guests will have amazing sea views and a peaceful retreat from the hubbub of the city. Guests will be welcomed to the property with a gift basket containing local treats, which is just the beginning of their stay in this beautiful area.

With a living area with sofas, a dining table, and a cable TV as well as a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, guests will have a comfortable stay in this pristine area of the world. Other handy amenities include Wi-Fi, free parking, and a gorgeous terrace with sea views.
