Cheney

The city of Cheney is nestled in the heart of Spokane County, Washington, roughly 16 miles southwest of Spokane. The city is a few minutes away from the Turnbull National Wildlife Refuge, a bird and animal sanctuary which covers 16,000 acres of both permanent and seasonal wetlands. The refuge also offers visitors extensive hiking trails which are great for the whole family. Further hiking trails can be found at Riverside State Park, just 30 minutes away from Cheney by car. The Spokane River flows along the edge of the park, making it an ideal spot for whitewater rafting and kayaking too! Keen golfers will also be pleased to learn that the world-class Fairway’s Golf Course is a mere five miles away.
