Our property is a gorgeous 100 acres, located on Bungonia Creek. We have a 5-acre vineyard, permaculture gardens, a 6000-liter aquaponics system, a no-dig vegetable garden, cows and sheep in the paddocks, and an abundance of native wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats, rabbits, and colorful native birds.

The eastern boundary of our property is formed by the Bungonia Creek as it winds its way through to the Bungonia Gorge, a popular tourist spot for hikers and canyoners, located in the Bungonia National Park. We are situated on the site of an extinct volcano and have the ruins of the old "Hit or Miss Inn" (c 1832) located in one of our paddocks.

The Space:
The tiny house is nestled in a small clearing surrounded by native trees and vegetation. There is a view over our dam and distant views across the valley.

Our tiny house is a lovely studio space of 155 sqft. It offers guests a comfortable stay with its well-equipped kitchenette, complete with a queen-sized bed, ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, and heating. Perfect for 2 persons!

The kitchenette has everything you need to cook your light meals with. A portable cooker, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes & silverware, microwave, and even a mini-fridge. The portable cooker can be kept in the drawers when not in use to maximize space.

Our bathroom facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). In Australia's severe climatic challenge of bush fires and drought, we help to save the environment by conserving water using an eco-friendly toilet. Wastes are broken down in the compost toilet via the anaerobic decomposition process. It is a waterless system (no need to flush!), whereas a standard dual flush toilet would use up to 350L of water per week. An aeration fan helps in the decomposition process and minimizes odors.

If you're using your own soap, shampoo, toothpaste, we ask that you bring biodegradable ones so that the greywater runoff does not harm the environment. Thank you!

Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and are welcome to explore the entire property. You may visit the house and garden but an appointment should be arranged beforehand.

The Neighborhood:
We are located 10 minutes from the beautiful Bungonia National Park, which contains the Bungonia Gorge, which is the steepest slot canyon in the Southern Hemisphere. The historic town of Marulan is 15 minutes away by car and offers cafes, restaurants, a supermarket, and antique stores to browse. The city of Goulburn (the first inland city in Australia) is 25 minutes by car and has everything needed for a country town.

Our local recommendation:

Food Scene
1. La Casa Trattoria Italia - For superb Italian food
2. Ban Thai Restaurant - Good food at really good prices. Eat-in or take-away
3. Terminus Hotel Marulan - The Terminus Hotel is a traditional country pub with a modern-day twist

Sightseeing
1. The Big Merino - A monument to Goulburn and the surrounding district's fine wool industry. A giant ram, standing 15.2 meters high, 18 meters long, containing a museum and gift shop. Great photo opportunity
2. Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum - The World-Class Rocky Hill War Memorial and Museum is located on a spectacular rocky outcrop overlooking the inland city of Goulburn
3. Bungonia National Park - The park is like a mini version of the Blue Mountains, offering views, walking trails, and picnic and bbq facilities. Make sure you go to the Lookdown Lookout and the Adams lookout for the best views

Shopping
1. IGA Marulan - Closest supermarket
