Scenic views
This cottage is located in Rylstone, New South Wales, where it is situated on a 16-acre, family-run farm in the countryside of Australia's Central Tablelands region. Here, guests will find a peaceful rural setting that is home to farm animals, such as goats, ducks, and chickens, while at the same time being centrally located in relation to a number of natural attractions.
About 20 minutes to the west, guests will find Windamere Dam (also known as Lake Windamere), where they can enjoy a variety of recreation options at Cudgegong Waters Park. To the east lies Wollemi National Park, which encompasses nearly 2,000 square miles of eucalyptus forests, rainforests, heaths, and grasslands interspersed with valleys, canyons, cliffs, rivers, and waterfalls. The park is home to 235 species of birds and 46 species of mammals, including eastern grey kangaroos, red-necked wallabies, and brush-tailed rock wallabies.
To the south, guests will find Gardens of Stone National Park, Turon National Park, and Capertee National Park, all of which are within an hour's drive and are located in and around the Capertee Valley—the second largest canyon in the world. Between the canyon's sandstone escarpments, guests can explore a spectacular landscape filled with rolling hills, eucalyptus woodlands, deep and narrow slot canyons, granite outcrops, pagoda-like rock formations, she-oak-lined rivers, and peaceful billabongs surrounded by reeds.
The cottage is about three and a half hours from Sydney, where the nearest international airport is located.
