This cottage is located in Palmwoods, Queensland, where it is situated on a peaceful, rural property full of mature tropical spice gardens and surrounded by lush vegetation, bush paths, ponds, and a creek that runs through gullies lined with native palms and gum trees. Just a seven-minute drive to the east, guests will find Eudlo Creek National Park, which encompasses 42 hectares (103 acres) of open eucalyptus forests that provide habitats to bandicoots, sugar gliders, koalas, tusked frogs, elf skinks, and 57 species of birds.
About 15 minutes to the west, guests will find Kondalilla National Park. Nestled in the mountains of the Blackall Range, the park is home to Kondalilla Falls, which plummets 90 meters (295 feet) into a gorge surrounded by a subtropical rainforest valley. The park safeguards a variety of wildlife, including 107 species of birds, 70 species of reptiles, and 32 species of frogs.
To the east lie the parklands and beaches of the Sunshine Coast, which can be reached in about 20 minutes. Here, guests will find attractions such as Noosa National Park and Australia Zoo. The cottage is about an hour and a half from Brisbane, where the nearest international airport is located.
