This unforgettable glamping site is nestled on a breathtaking mountainside high above the Valley of Flowers, just 30 minutes from the center of La Paz, but a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s the perfect place to relax, enjoy, and explore the beauty and warmth of the real Bolivia. At a lower altitude and enjoying a warmer climate than La Paz, this site is situated in the village of Jupapina in the Valley of Flowers, which is 5 minutes from the town of Mallasa.

Bolivian Cookery Class: Learn To Cook Traditional Bolivian Food
The neighbors of this glamping site are wonderful skilled cooks and very happy to share their passion for preparing some of the most delicious Bolivian dishes—including vegetarian options. They will bring all the fresh local ingredients needed to cook, and later, guests can enjoy the fruits of their labor with a two- or three-course meal. The class lasts around 1.5 to two hours and costs $22 USD (or 150 bolivianos).
Trek down from Devil´s Tooth Mountain Trek and Visit to Rural Indigenous Community
From the glamping site, see the amazing rock of the Devil´s Tooth mountain. The hosts can give glampers printed instructions to follow the path back to the campsite. The trek is downhill and quite easy apart from some eroded areas where guests need to take care. The trek takes three to five hours and has some amazing views of the Andes. There is also the option of having lunch before the descent with the local indigenous women's organisation, a local community based tourism initiative supported by this glampigng property. Cost: Local taxi to the village of Chiaraque is about $11.60. Optional Lunch with local indigenous women is $7.26 and an Optional Guide is $29.
Horse Trek up to the Devil`s Tooth Mountain
The hosts' friend Ivan has beautiful horses and is a true Bolivian Cowboy. His ranch is in the foothills of the Devil`s Tooth Mountain which towers above this glamping site. Guests will ride through the most amazing landscape with views towards the city in the distance and the glaciers of the Andes, up to the fields and the village at the base of the Mountain. The ride takes about 2 hours and is suitable for intermediate riders. Guests should bring; long trousers, boots and sun block. Cost: $50/person
Full Adventure: Quad biking in the Valley of the Moon or the Valley of the Sun
This glamping site's neighbor Doña Brigida and her family run one of the most established quad biking companies. The guides are friendly and some speak English having participated in volunteer led language courses. They have several quad bikes and they will show guests how to ride them before they set off on the trip. The trail goes along paved roads for a while and then cuts through small rural villages and mud tracks, ascending to El Alto and the rim of the ledge overlooking the city of La Paz and the snowcapped mountain range. The trip takes about 2 hours. The costs, which includes the rental of the quad bike, a guide and all the gear (helmets, gloves, jackets etc) are $43 per person.

In sight of this glamping site, guests will find the Fundación Porvenir, a center which provides horse-assisted therapy for children and their families with special needs at weekends. From Tuesday to Friday, the hosts offer our visitors the opportunity to support the Foundation by taking riding classes here with their gentle horses. The classes are ideal for beginners. The cost of a 1 hour class is $10 per person.
