Activities in the nearby valley include, kayaking, canoeing, and hiking alpine trails. With 25 kilometers of shoreline to paddle and three great hikes available, guests will have no shortage of outdoor adventure. The on site guides will help glampers with navigation and can even provide guests with a knowledgeable guide. Hikers can begin jaunts to the alpine along Fortress Lake before spending many enjoyable hours traversing the shadows of old growth forest. Many shaded, mossy hollows provide homes for interesting plants and flowers that can be examined during this journey, and time passes quickly before finally reaching timberline and the marvelous amphitheaters and rambling alpine meadows of the higher peaks and ridges. The views of the towering peaks, glaciers, and lake are amazing, making sightseeing an activity all on its own.
