Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the numerous beaches nearby, such as the Botanical Beach Provincial Park, fresh bodies of water such as San Juan and Jordan River, and hiking trails including the world famous West Coast Trail. When visiting Port Renfrew, guests must visit the giant trees preserved by the Ancient Forest Alliance (AFA), which include Avatar Grove and Canada’s “gnarliest” tree. After a long day of exploring the island, guests can head to one of the local pubs and restaurants to regain strength and energy for another day of adventure.

These include China Beach, which is 35 kilometers west of Sooke and the start of the Juan de Fuca Trail, French Beach Provincial Park, Jordan River, Mystic Beach, Sombrio Beach or the trailhead for the Juan de Fuca Trail, and Botanical Beach. For those looking for a memorable hike, guests should look into reserving a visit through Parks Canada Reservation Service to access one of the world’s top-rated hiking trails, the West Coast Trail. This trail is a 75-kilometer backpacking trail built in 1907 as the Dominion Lifesaving Trail to provide access to rescue shipwrecked survivors.

When arriving from Nanaimo, glampers can also check out the lakes and forests such as Lake Cowichan, Mesachie Lake, Lizard Lake, Pixie Lake, and Fairy Lake. Moreover, from Nanaimo, guests can pass through the winery region of Cowichan Valley.

Guest can check in between 4 p.m. and 12 a.m. and must check out by 12 p.m. To enter the property, there is a self-check-in with a keypad.

No smoking or vaping is allowed inside the property or on the balcony, and candles and open flames are not allowed.

Other rules include that guests must leave wet or muddy gear outside to dry; must load and turn on the dishwasher prior to check-out; must not use chemical products or hot plates on the dining table; and must use trivets, mats, and coasters.

Assistance animals are always allowed. Guests must keep pets from soiling or damaging furnishings.

There is a required security deposit of $812. Any damages that occur during guests' stay must be reported upon departure.
