One of the main attractions in the area is the West Coast Beaches, such as the local Port Renfrew Pacheedaht Beach. Other special beaches with access to multi-day hiking trails can be found on the way to Victoria. These include China Beach, which is 35 kilometers west of Sooke and the start of the Juan de Fuca Trail, French Beach Provincial Park, Jordan River, Mystic Beach, Sombrio Beach or the trailhead for the Juan de Fuca Trail, and Botanical Beach. For those looking for a memorable hike, guests should look into reserving a visit through Parks Canada Reservation Service to access one of the world’s top-rated hiking trails, the West Coast Trail.
