COVID-19 Actions
The cabins undergo a thorough cleaning upon check-out, followed by the sanitizing of all touch points. I’ll meet all guests on arrival masked and gloved and take them for a quick tour of the cabin to show the features. We’ve set up a sanitizing station in each cabin. We’ve been advised by the BC Hotel Association’s best practices to not do daily cleaning, but will continue to remove garbage and change bathroom linens each day, while gloved and masked.

Guests have easy access to great outdoor fun no matter the temperature when they stay here. Lake Windermere, which lies just minutes away from the property, has year-round outdoor recreational activities to fill guests days with adventure. In the winter, guests can skate or cross-country ski around the large lake. It's the largest maintained ice surface in the world, and guests can trek the 17-kilometer loop that runs its perimeter. In the summer, Lake Windermere is a great place to spend the day with a picnic, towels, and bathing suits. Guests can hike around the lake and then take a dip to cool down, rent a canoe and paddle out on the lake, or go fishing and see what bites.
If guests take a 10-minute hike from the property, they will find the Fairmont Waterfalls Hot Spring with a 95-foot waterfall. Guests can enjoy the beautiful mountain views and hot springs with the noise of the waterfall in the background. A little further afield, about 45 minutes to the south, lie the Lussier River Hot Springs. These hot springs, open all year, are undeveloped and a great place to spend the afternoon.
