There is fun and excitement to be had at and around the cottage whether hot and sunny or cold and snowy. It is nature at its finest and is perfect for a relaxing and peaceful getaway or for some action and adventure—the best of both worlds. The cottage offers direct access to the deep waters of the Severn River so opportunities for boating, waterskiing, canoeing, swimming, and fishing are just out the door and down the steps to the dock. Guests can come ready with their own boat, jet skis etc, or go to the marina in Severn Falls for rentals.
The endless miles of forest means excellent walking, hiking, and ATV trails. In the winter, the trails become ideal for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. There are public beaches nearby for those wanting to feel the sand between their toes and golfing is not far away for those wanting to keep up with their game.
The proximity to two major ski resorts means excellent opportunities for skiing and snowboarding. Horseshoe Valley is home to Ontario's longest tubing hill—a great way to spend some quality family time together. Or, stay close to "home" and do some skating and ice fishing on the frozen river waters. Alternatively, those preferring to stay cozy and warm may just want to be beside the fire and watch the snow gently blanketing the world outside.
