This charming suite is located in Prince Edward County, Ontario, and is perfect for a romantic getaway. It forms part of an early 19th-century mill and has its own private entrance and riverside patio with dining furniture. The interior is full of character and features hand-hewn beam ceilings and original mill doors. The suite can accommodate up to two guests and includes one bedroom and one full bathroom. The bedroom is furnished with a custom-made farmhouse queen-size bed with a memory foam mattress and plush linens.
It also features an exposed limestone wall and an electric fireplace. It is equipped with a television on a swivel that can be viewed from either the bedroom or the living room. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a vessel sink and a spacious tile and limestone shower with a glass sliding door and oil rubbed bronze fixtures. It also provides plush bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and toiletries for guests to use throughout their stay. Additionally, the inside of the property is fitted with heating and air conditioning to give guests a comfortable stay.
In the kitchen, cooking enthusiasts will find everything they need to whip up some delicious food. It boasts a 1930's porcelain sink, an antique dish cupboard, unique mill artifacts, and an antique oak counter. The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, an oven, a stove, a microwave, a toaster, a coffeemaker, dishes, utensils, and basic pantry items.
Guests can chill out on the two reclining armchairs in the sitting room and watch the television. This room also treats guests to excellent views of the river from the three limestone windowsills. This wonderful, old limestone mill sits on an island on the banks of a river in the historic hamlet of Lonsdale in southeastern Ontario, Canada. The property is located in Marysville, just six kilometers north of the 401 highway, 60 kilometers west of Kingston, and just over a one-hour drive from the Thousand Islands National Park. In 30 minutes, guests can reach the Bay of Quinte and the Prince Edward County with its many wineries and restaurants. A 49-kilometer drive south brings guests to the Sandbanks Provincial Park and its beautiful white sand beach, for which a free pass is provided. Additionally, the property is conveniently located two hours east of Toronto, and only 33 kilometers east of Belleville. During the winter, if the lake outside freezes over, guests can bring their ice skates, snowshoes, or cross-country skis for fun just outside the door or at one of the nearby conservation areas.
