About this place

This impressive yurt accommodation boasts an excellent location on a 100-acre farm in Powassan and is ideal for camping near North Bay. The yurt features a spacious interior with one bedroom and a living area, as well as an outhouse nearby, and can accommodate five glampers. The bedroom comes with a queen-size bed and there are two sleeper sofas for additional guests. Linen is provided. However, the hosts recommend bringing along extra blankets during winter.

After an amazing day exploring the trails, glampers can return to this off-the-grid yurt and relax in front of the wood-burning stove. Those opting to stay here can unplug and get back in touch with nature while enjoying some of the creature comforts of home. The living area is cozy and has two sofas and a dining table. When hunger strikes, the barbecue is perfect for outdoor cooking, and during the winter months, the hosts allow light cooking inside the yurt.

During the warmer months, Algonquin Provincial Park is a premier destination for canoeing, so glampers are encouraged to bring along their canoes for amazing backcountry and white water experiences.

For the avid anglers, Algonquin Park has over 1,500 lakes and 54 different species of fish, including some of the best brook and lake trout fishing in the country. Additionally, the Powassan Mountain Conservation Area offers fantastic recreational opportunities throughout the year, including hiking, cycling, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing. The views from the top of Powassan Mountain are unbeatable and worth the ascent.
