Rice Lake Lakeside Eco Cabins Rental on 25 Acre Island, Ontario, Canada
There are eight eco-cabin accommodations spaced privately around the entire 25-acre magical island. The variety of lakeside cabins can sleep six, seven, nine, 12, or 14 people depending on availability. Each cabin has its own private and spotless outdoor composting toilet, private campfire pit, propane gas barbecue, outdoor chairs, solar lights, and a solar charging station for all mobile devices. There is an absolutely stunning Chinese solar eco rainwater shower in the woods.
Guests have unlimited use of kayaks, paddle boards, paddle boats, and canoes. They can also engage in many sports including swimming, sand volleyball, badminton, horseshoes, as well have access to a punching bag work out area. There is also a 125-year-old wood fired bread and pizza oven on the property.
The island is full of seasonal animals including baby bunnies, piglets, guinea fowl, hens that lay organic eggs, mini goats, mini donkeys, hair sheep, and the ever so elusive wandering alpacas.
The host at this site is committed to a vision of sustainability. Guests can contribute to this vision by staying in the eco-cabins and eco-loft, all of which are fitted with environmentally-friendly composting toilets and wonderful rain water showers. Other facilities include a picnic shelter where guests can set up a picnic meal for themselves and their fellow glampers.
All of the eco cabins at this site have access to "The Barge" which is an 85-foot boat that can be used by guests for swimming, fishing, and partying.

Glampers can also hike around the island, go wild raspberry and blackberry picking, and spend a relaxing time in one of the reflection and reading areas around the site. Guests are also welcome to use the 100-year-old bread and pizza oven to whip up one of their favorite recipes while on vacation.

There is a complimentary ferry service and ATV delivery to the accommodations.
The check-out time is at 10 a.m. and the check-in time can vary according to the times at which the boat can bring glampers to the island. There is a regular service, free of charge. However, arrivals to the island after 10 p.m. will incur a charge of $100.
