Scenic views
This luxury tent is located just outside the town of SopĂ³ in the Cundinamarca region of Colombia, where it is situated in a remote forested setting. Less than six miles to the east, guests will find Embalse de TominĂ©, which is a scenic lake encompassing 45 square miles of pristine water. Pionono SopĂ³ Ecological Park is less than half an hour away, and just under an hours’ drive to the southeast will take guests to Chingaza National Natural Park. The latter encompasses 189,000 acres of mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, and forests. These environments provide habitats to a variety of species of wildlife and birds, such as bears, tapirs, pumas, monkeys, ocelots, toucans, and Andean condors.

The site is about an hour from BogotĂ¡, where the nearest international airport is located.

At the glamping site, guests can enjoy tree climbing, with equipment conveniently set up for them, including a hammock chair set at the top of a 15-meter-tall eucalyptus tree. Around the site, in the surrounding forest, guests will also find trails for hiking and biking, with bike rentals available through the host. More opportunities for hiking can be found in Chingaza National Natural Park and around the lake of Embalse de Tominé, where guests will find a trail that runs by the Spanish-style village of Guatavita.

At the lake, guests will also find opportunities for fishing, boating, sailing, swimming, and water-skiing. For shopping and dining, guests will have a variety of options. At the above-mentioned village of Guatavita, which is just a 16-minute drive away, there are a number of artisan workshops, where guests can buy products from local sellers. There are a number of shopping and dining options at the town of Guasca, just over 10 minutes to the east, and BogotĂ¡ to the south offers a variety of world-class restaurants, shops, and attractions.
