Cabin in Matapalo, Puntarenas

8 guests

This secluded bamboo cabin is surrounded by rainforest abundantly decorated with flowers and tropical fruit trees. The cabin comfortably sleeps six to eight people in its three authentic bedrooms equipped with queen sized four-poster beds and luxury mattresses. Extra beds are available if required, and all bedrooms have their own solar-powered fans, reading lights, and fitted netting. There are two bathrooms with hot showers, and one master bedroom with its own private bath. Out of every window, captivating views of ocean and tropical rainforest awaken a sense of adventure and freedom.

Although this property feels at one with nature, glampers need not sacrifice any of the luxuries of modern life: Wi Fi and 3G signal is available in the cabin, and the cabin has 110-volt outlets which can charge electronics (although internet connection can be slow at times). The host provides a daily laundry and housekeeping service, and staff can attend to any enquiries via the 24 hour reception service.

The interior is authentic and comfortable, and guests can enjoy free use of the provided linens and bath towels; kayaks and boogie boards; and beach chairs. The kitchen is well-equipped with a solar refrigerator and stove, and meals can be enjoyed either in the spacious dining area or on the private terrace. The cabin is under two minutes from the Pan Dulce beach, and guests are encouraged to make the most of their outdoor barbecue and hammock.

The host provides an extensive information pack including maps, and even a suggested grocery list. Staff are always close at hand, and reside next door to the properties.

Leda is the on-site chef, and can be hired to provide glampers with authentic local cuisine, or can cater to your specific tastes. She can cook from whatever ingredients glampers choose to stock their kitchens with.

All accommodations are surrounded by a tropical paradise: flagrant, flowering plants of ginger and hibiscus; mango, pineapple and banana trees; and cool shady lawn. The scarlet macaw can be spotted from the property's communal yard.

With beach and rainforest just a stone's throw away, guests can venture out on foot to explore this untouched tropical paradise.
