The Main Lodge - With its modern design that also combines traditional architecture, the main bure perfectly blends with the surrounding lush and nurturing beauty. Every aspect of the main hub, from the colors, textures and patterns to the towels and the perfumed candles were carefully designed to reflect the sultry richness and intense colors of the Pacific. It's a center for fun and relaxation and includes a pool lounge with day beds, a spacious palm-tree lined swimming pool, plantation-style chairs, and soft feather-filled sofas. The open air veranda offers magical views of the ocean and invites its guests to enjoy a sundowner while the sun colors everything in a pink and orange glowing light.
Dining and Cuisine - Healthy, locally sourced and tasty meals served at the lodge feature the flavors and ingredients of the Fijian cuisine. Guests can indulge daily in a variety of freshly caught fish, and tropical fruit abounds with papayas, mangoes, bananas, pineapples and more.
Spa
Facials - include neck, shoulders, arm and hand massage, with a choice of scalp or a foot massage. Guests can choose from a deep cleanse facial that includes cleansing algae, seaweed and marine extracts or a papaya facial.
Massages - Guests can choose between a de-stress massage using lavender and chamomile, a reviving massage that uses lemon, lime and eucalyptus oils, a traditional Fijian massage, manicures and pedicures, or body wraps/scrubs featuring coconut, papaya, mud, seaweed and more.
ACTIVITIES
Bamboo Rafting - First, you will visit Barotu Village. After a short village tour you will be taken to the river and will board a bamboo raft. On your tour you will pass giant mangroves, observe the native wildlife and learn interesting facts about the area. Back at the village, refreshments and crafts will be available.
Narara Waterslide Tour - A half-hour drive from Rakiraki will take you to a small inland village where you will be welcomed with a traditional ceremony combining dancing and singing. You will get to know the village and walk to a plunging cascade. The waterfalls drops 20-feet into a naturally heart-shaped pool.
Diving - The Bligh Waters provide unforgettable diving experiences surrounding Dolphin Island. Guided snorkeling and tank diving trips can be arranged. The water is warm and crystal clear and provides an amazing opportunity to observe an abundance of colorful coral reefs and exotic marine life.
Kayaking - Sea kayaks are available for rent. Take a picnic with you and explore the nearby islands.
Hobie Catamaran - Cruise around the warm tropical waters with the island's own catamaran whenever you like. The 15-30 knot sea breezes are perfect for drifting over coral reefs, racing with dolphins or just hanging loose and enjoying the beautiful area.
Fishing - Guests have the option to go fishing to sheltered reefs and maybe catch a coral cod, sea trout or snapper. Sport fishing the outer reefs may include coral trout, trevally, tuna, barracuda, walu, and mahimahi. Rods and lures are provided.
Suncoast Tour - A guided tour will take you to nearby villages, the renowned Church of the Black Christ, the township of Rakiraki, the sugar mill, and the tomb of the last cannibal chief Udreudre.
Shopping in Rakiraki - Discover the bustling bazaars, tropical colors, local stores, niche products, traditional and unique shops, kava stands, open-air buses, and the Fijian, Indian and European influences that dominate the town of Rakiraki.
Tapa-making Class - A guided tour will take you to one of the local Fijian villages where you can learn the traditional craft of tapa cloth making from one of the village's finest practitioners.
