GOOD TO KNOW:
The refuge is installed in nature and is fully self-contained: electricity is produced by solar panels, the kitchen and heating are gas-powered and running water is stored in a tank. You have all the usual comforts, but the idea of an alternative habitat is also to become aware of its impact on the environment!
As a result, a few rules are required during your stay:
1) Except for phones and laptops, do not plug in electrical appliances other than those provided on site, as this may damage the solar system. It is therefore not possible to use, for example, your hairdryer, a straightener or a raclette device
2) The risk of fire is very high in the middle of nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in the refuge and in the surroundings, but also to light any flame (no barbecue)
3) Wastewater is filtered by plants: you are asked to use only the 100% natural products provided (shower gel, dishwashing liquid)
4) No pets allowed in the shelter

Attention, access to the refuge is via a dirt road for about 400 meters, which you can take with your car to park near the refuge.
If you do not want to take the dirt road with your car, you can park at the entrance of the path (a location is provided for this purpose) then end on foot.
During the winter months, we recommend that you provide snow equipment for your vehicle (mountain area)
Other things to note
.
The shelter is located on the land of your hosts Benoit and Julie, who live on site. You may therefore come across them during your stay

The entrance to the shelter is not on one level, it has a small staircase of 3 steps. The accommodation is not suitable for people with reduced mobility (PRM)
We immerse you in a world of extraordinary adventures, as close as possible to the localities & their inhabitants. Our concept? We make beautiful Eco-lodges, then we install them for free with friendly hosts, who want to welcome guests, in the heart of their regions, passions and local attractions. Our ambition is to install 1000 shelters, with 1000 fantastic hosts, everywhere on Earth (including Antarctica).
