This cottage is located in Makrigialos, Greece, on the southeast coast of the island of Crete. Heraklion Airport N. Kazantzakis can be reached by car in an hour and a half. The terrain of this area offers plenty of unique hiking and walking trails through gorges and mountain ranges. Guests can head north, past a historic stone bridge, through forestry and rocks until reaching scenic Richtis Gorge. This area is rich in stunning beaches, such as Diaskari, which offer beautiful swimming points, or Lagoufa which features two adjacent coves, one offering luxurious golden sand with umbrellas and crystal clear-blue waters perfect for soaking up some sun, swimming, and other water sports. Continue east, and guests can reach Dragon's Overlook that offers even more beautiful beaches, cliffs, and a great restaurant making it a perfect day out. The town of Makrigialos is home to many incredible restaurants that feature local fish and produce, sure to please all glampers that have worked up an appetite after a day of hiking.
