Local attractions in the area include Pico Bonito National Park, the Cayos Cochinos, Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge, and Playa Vida Honduras.
Additionally, La Ceiba is known as the gateway to the Bay Islands and is just over a two-hour flight from Miami, Houston, and Atlanta to San Pedro Sula and from there, a three-hour drive to La Ceiba.
