This riverside villa rental is located at a retreat in La Ceiba, Honduras, and can accommodate 10 guests for a getaway to the jungles of Pico Bonito National Park. Set by a small creek right next to the river, the villa provides guests with scenic views of the surrounding gardens, waterfall, jungle-covered cliffs, and tropical cloud forest.
Featuring hardwood floors and elegant, comfortable furnishings throughout its airy interior, the villa has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. In the bedrooms, guests will find three queen-size beds, two twin beds, and a set of double bunk beds. One of the bedrooms also features its own sitting area, which is arranged around a coffee table and set next to French doors leading outside. Each of the bathrooms is fitted with a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are provided.
In the living/dining room, guests will find a four-person dining table and another sitting area—this one consisting of a sofa and two sofa chairs set next to glass doors leading to a deck. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with an oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a filtered water dispenser, and complimentary Honduran coffee. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi.
Outside, guests will find a covered deck with ceiling fans and a patio table, as well as a covered patio with another patio table. The retreat also provides guests with shared access to an infinity pool, a bar, a grill, and a variety of outdoor activity tour options, which include hiking, biking, horseback riding, kayaking, rafting, snorkeling, and swimming.
Inside the accommodation, guests will enjoy amenities such as flow-through ventilation, ceiling fans, purified water, free coffee, and a deck, balcony, and/or patio (depending on the unit). Around the retreat, guests will also find an infinity pool, a bar, and a grill.
The bar serves cocktails, specialty beers, fruit juices, and soft drinks. At the grill, guests can enjoy grilled and vegetarian meals, as well as Honduran cuisine. Options include pizza, USDA steaks, chicken, pork chops, fish, and shrimp.

A wide variety of outdoor activity tours are available through an arrangement with the host, enabling guests to explore the surrounding Pico Bonito National Park and other nearby natural areas on land, in water, and even through the air.
On land, guests can go hiking through the jungle to the waterfall of El Bejuco, mountain biking or horseback riding through the Cangrejal River valley, and canyoning or rappelling down the waterfalls of Pico Bonito National Park.
For water-based activities, guests can go rafting on or swimming in the Cangrejal River, kayaking on Cacao Lagoon, and snorkeling or diving at Cayos Cochinos Marine Monument. Guests can also take a riverboat tour of Cuero y Salado Wildlife Refuge, which provides many opportunities for birdwatching and wildlife viewing along the way. Manatees, white-face monkeys, jaguars, and alligators are just some of the wildlife guests may see, while 198 species of birds can be found amid the refuge's rivers, palm-filled jungles, and mangrove forests.
To see one of the area's jungles from a bird's eye perspective, guests can go ziplining at Sambo Creek. Afterward, they can relax at nearby Glenda's Paradise Hot Springs.
Last but certainly not least, guests can go swimming amid a scenic jungle backdrop at the retreat's infinity pool, enjoy Honduran or American cuisine at its riverside grill, and have cocktails, specialty beers, fruit juices, or soft drinks at its bar.
