This property is located in Pristine Bay, Honduras, where it is situated on the central northern shore of the island of Roatan. Set right by an idyllic white sand beach, with its own private swimming pool and putting green, and access to the three on-site restaurants, water sport rentals, dive shops, tennis courts, and the Black Pearl golf course of the Pristine Bay Beach Club, the rental's location provides guests with a self-contained, resort-like setting in which to enjoy a beachside getaway.
At the same time, its central location on the island puts guests in a position to enjoy the best of both worlds: Roatan's undeveloped east end and its bustling west end. On the east end, guests will find forests of pine trees and fruit trees bearing avocados, hog plums, and papayas, as well as the traditional village of Punta Gorda. On the west end, guests will find attractions such as West Bay Beach, Mary's Eel Garden, South Shore Zipline Tours, Gumbalimba Park, Carambola Gardens, Mayan Eden, and Jungle Top Adventures Zipline.
At Gumbalimba Park, guests will find a 20-acre botanical garden full of 200 species of plants and trees, a number of waterfalls and fountains, a sandy beach, a cafe, and opportunities to encounter monkeys and tropical birds. Another 40 acres of botanical gardens laced with jungle trails can be explored at Carambola Botanical Gardens, which is home to iguanas and parrots. Even more gardens, wildlife encounters, and a butterfly sanctuary can be enjoyed at Mayan Eden Park, which also has a zip-line course.
Situated right off the shore of West Bay Beach, Mandy's Eel Garden provides shallow waters in which guests of all skill levels can dive down to a coral reef teeming with marine life, including green eels, squid, eagle rays, parrot fish, seahorses, and octopi. The reef is just one of many prime spots for diving off the coast of Roatán, which is located near the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System—the second largest barrier reef in the world, surpassed only by Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
The vacation rental is about 30 minutes to the west of Coxen Hole, the island's most populous town, where guests will find Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport.
