Description of Glamping Units
This charming barn rental can be found south of Sligo, near Tubbercurry, Ireland, and is ideal for country vacation. It sleeps a total of six guests and is ideal for families as there is plenty of space throughout. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom in the rental.
Downstairs, guests will find the lovely country kitchen that is well-stocked with plenty of helpful amenities including a refrigerator, a toaster, a kettle, cutlery, and crockery. The range (stove) provides for a rustic experience, and there is also an electric hob. The hosts provide basic cooking items in the pantry.
From the kitchen, glampers can climb the stairs and arrive in the king-size master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. This bathroom holds a rainwater flushed toilet, a sink with rainwater and drinking water taps, and a "rainforest" shower. The bathroom is shared between the two rooms. Linens and towels are provided.
There is also a spacious living area upstairs. Here, guests will find a comfy couch that can be made into a single or a double bed. Guests can curl up on the couches or get competitive with one of the board games provided.
Outside, there is an acre of land to explore and a swing bench where guests can watch the world go by. Glampers can also cook up a storm on the barbecue or have a campfire in the evening.

Glampers will find themselves just off the Wild Atlantic Way, conveniently set between Dromore-West and Tubbercurry. The beautiful Irish countryside is waiting to be explored and guests can also enjoy Ballina and Sligo, two nearby towns where there are shops and restaurants on offer. Thanks to the setting of this barn, guests will find themselves spoiled for choice with things to do. Set between Lough Easky and Lough Talt, this is the perfect option for guests hoping to enjoy fishing and other water activities during their getaway. For surfers, Easkey is a short drive across the mountain. Guests willing to venture to Sligo and Westport will find multiple companies that provide opportunities for rafting, kayaking, and other water sports.
The Ox Mountains provides a wide network of trails that can be explored on foot or by bike. At the foot of these mountains, guests can choose to adventure in the bogland on horseback, thanks to the local stables. Horseback riding is also available on the beach just north of the town of Sligo.
Glampers looking to go on a shopping spree can head to Ballina, which is only 20 km away, or Sligo, which is 50 km away. In Ballina and Sligo, there are also various museums for guests keen to learn more about the history of the area and plenty of restaurants and bars for enjoying an evening out.
After a long, fun-filled day, guests can spend their nights enjoying stargazing the dark sky which, especially in the winter months, has views of the Milky Way and the planets Venus, Mars, and Jupiter.

Pets are not allowed, but there are pets that live on the property. The hosts have three cats and a baby goat.
Smoking is not permitted inside, and parties or events are not allowed. For those who wish to smoke outside, they can do so in the covered space.
The accommodation is not safe for infants under two years old, due to the steep staircases. Guests are welcome to bring their infant, but it will be at their own risk. All nappies must be taken with when guests check out, not thrown away at the accommodation.
Guests should note that the Wi-Fi, which is available just outside the barn, is weak and unstable.
For hot water, it is heated by solar panels when sunny; however, if not, it is heated by the range or wood burner.
The barn is presented clean and tidy, and guests are asked to please leave it in the same manner. If there are breakages/damages, they must let the hosts know before they leave. The hosts also provide an "oops" jar to compensate for small damages.
The two rooms upstairs do have wooden floors. Guests are asked to not enter these rooms with shoes and can use the slippers provided.
There is a small 'library' with some books regarding Ireland, its history, and more. The hosts kindly request guests NOT to swap books (as it is common in hostels).
There is no waste collection, so the hosts ask guests to separate their waste into paper, plastics (please do clean), bottles and cans, green waste, and general waste. If guests can, the hosts do appreciate if guests take the general waste with them; the other waste the hosts can bring to the recycling center.
Guests can make a small campfire outside. There is plenty of wood in the nearby forestry, or they can bring their own. Guests are asked to not use the fuel provided, as it is meant for heating the accommodation. For safety reasons, the hosts do not allow guests to use any liquid to start and/or keep the fire going. Some guests wish to invite friends to visit them or to stay a night. The base rate is based on two guests. There will be an extra fee for every guest after two guests and also a (discounted) fee for guests who wish to visit.
