Noto is a quick 15-minute ride from the coast on the southwestern part of Sicily, overlooking the Adriatic Sea. 40 minutes northeast is the historic city of Syracuse, notable for his rich ancient Greek history. The nearest airport is Catania International Airport, which is about an hour north of Noto.

It is well noted for its Sicilian Baroque-style architecture and has plenty of religious and secular buildings built in this style.
