A short drive away you can find and sample some of the best renowned wines in Italy: Brunello di Montalcino, Nobile di Montepulciano, Montecucco, Morellino di Scansano. Not much further afield there is a lot more to see and experience. Sandy beaches are only 45 minutes away (depending on your driving skills, I learned to drive in Rome!!!)).
