Next to the lodge you will find the town of Deux Freres, imposing cascades and the amazing 13-mile-long lagoon 'ile aux Cerfs'. The eco-lodge takes prides in keeping its carbon footprint at a zero. There are 10 kayaks and 5 mountain bikes that you can use free of charge. The site is only a small hike away from the Grande River South East waterfall and a few paddles away from the amazing crystal lagoon of 'Ile aux Cerfs', a must-see on the island, and only a 15 minutes journey away from the site. There is a free shuttle available to the Ile aux Cerfs on a daily basis.

On-site you'll find tennis volley, beach tennis and volley ball court, and also a petanque area. Other activities include kite surfing and paddle boarding.

For kite-surfers, during the winter season from May to October the region enjoys strong winds (20 knots) coming from the south-east. Wilder, more turbulent spots, variety or miles of down winders can be found on the east coast. The most famous crossing is from Pointe D'Esny to ile aux Cerfs. There are places for all tastes and fitness levels, from amateurs to professionals. Special kite surfing sessions can be arranged at an exclusive spot located near a sand islet a few miles off the coast of Mauritius called 'ilot flamants'. The boat ride to ilot flamants takes about 30 minutes.

There are also stand-up paddle boards available for rent during the whole year. Paddle up the river to the waterfall or explore the unique mangroves islets surrounding the ile aux Cerfs on your paddle board!

The friendly staff will be more than happy to show you the area. Make sure you pay the east coast of Mauritius a visit as it is probably the most beautiful place on the island.
