This basic cabañas rental boasts the perfect location on Laguna Bacalar in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and offers glampers the ideal getaway in nature. The bungalws boasts an open floor plan with a king-size bed and a private bathroom, as well as a table with chairs. Linen and towels are kindly provided by the hosts. The cabaña can accommodate two; however, should glampers require additional sleeping space, the hosts can provide a single mattress and linen.

Outdoors, the porch has two armchairs that face the sublime turquoise water, the perfect spot to enjoy a morning cup of coffee or an evening beverage. Across from the porch, there is a thatch open hut with two hammocks, table and chairs where glampers can relax and simply admire the beautiful views.

The property boasts a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and kayaks are available to rent and are the perfect way to explore Laguna Bacalar and the mangroove chanels near to our place.

This rustic hut sits on the northern point of Laguna Bacalar in Quintana Roo, Mexico, and offers a unique glamping experience. This beautiful area is nestled between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea and offers unbelievable access to the great outdoors and everything it has to offer. Local attractions in the area include Fort San Felipe Bacalar, Xul-Ha, Bird Island, and the Chacchoben VIllage. The gorgeous town of Tulum is just two hours away while the resort city of Cancun can be reached in just under four hours.

Bacalar is about 40 minutes away from the capital city of Chetumal, where glampers will find the nearest airport.

Commonly referred to as the Maldives of Mexico, most glampers are drawn to this area because of the renowned Laguna Bacalar. The striking blue color and clarity of the lagoon is partly due to the white limestone bottom and boasts long docks that stretch out into the water. This glamping property offers easy access to the lagoon. However, glampers are urged to make sustainable choices such as using organic sunscreen and avoid single-use plastic.

Outdoor recreation abounds and nature enthusiasts will absolutely love the options. Sailing and kayaking adventures are popular and great ways to explore the beautiful lagoon and these are available as tour options or self-guided. The Kayak tour is three hours and guests will be taken through the mangrove channels of mirror waters covered with liz flowers, and an abundant orchids and birds.

There is an excursion to Chacchoben double, which takes four hours and includes an explanation of the ancient Mayan culture to this day, a guided tour of the archaeological site, the Mayan village. Guests will also walk through the tropical garden where they will meet many fruit species and end the excursion with a delicious traditional lunch. Prices vary depending amount of time or menu.
