There are twenty deluxe yurts on this property that are handmade using a latticed wood structure covered with layers of felt and canvas. Each Mongolian tent is heated by a wood stove and offers hand-painted wood-framed beds with furnishings, a private bathroom with a toilet and sink, a king-sized bed, and amenities such as felt slippers, Mongolian-styled bathrobes, and locally produced toiletries and camel milk moisturizing lotions. The elegantly simple design of the yurts blends with the Gobi's remarkable landscape and each has a southward-facing door—a nomadic Mongolian tradition—providing an unobstructed view of the desert and the Gobi-Altai Mountains.

Relatively in the center of this Mongolian yurt tent, is located the Dino House, built in the architectural style of a traditional Mongolian temple. Here guests will find games and a small library, and enjoy music and dance performances in the evenings.

There is also an on-site restaurant, called Bulagtai Restaurant, named for the ancient volcanic outcrop that shelters the Lodge. The restaurant and its staff use only locally grown organic fruits and vegetables, dairy products produced by local nomadic families, and organic meat from Mongolia's free-range livestock herds to create regional dishes and traditional specialties.

Such a setting wouldn’t be complete without a bar where you can relax with a glass of wine or martini in hand after a long day of adventure and excursions. The Thirsty Camel Bar is located in a naturally geo-cooled room below the restaurant and offers a wide selection of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks. Refreshments, snacks and locally crafted gifts may be purchased in the Lodge shop. There is also an on-site laundry service and a spa staffed by professionally trained massage therapists. Guests will love their time in a luxury yurt: Mongolia will feel like an undiscovered land. Book your luxury Mongolian tents today!

This lodge is built in the heart of the Gobi on the edge of Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park. It was designed to offer an elevated take on the traditional nomadic lifestyle that is still present in Mongolia. The lodge is comprised of individual Gers, or tented accommodations, as well as a main lodge designed to resemble a Buddhist temple.

Here, guests will discover the perfect magical blend of remote, rugged and refined adventure. The lodge can be a home base for numerous adventures, including expeditions to Hongoryn Els, also known as the Singing Sands, as well as the Gobi's famed Flaming Cliffs, still rich with archaeological discoveries. From towering sand dunes, dramatic canyons and cliffs hiding the fossils of dinosaurs, and green valleys in the foothills of the Gobi-Altai Mountains, it is all within reach from this singular hideaway.

Guests will be greeted and treated with traditional Mongolian hospitality throughout their stay. It is the staff’s mission to provide you with the highest standard of service and to make sure every stay at this lodge is comfortable, relaxing and memorable. Many of the individuals that work at the lodge were raised in the Gobi, and all are happy to share their love and knowledge of the desert.
