Te Puke

Famous for its kiwifruit, Te Puke is a cool little town southeast of Tauranga. As such, it offers an interesting jumping off point to Tauranga’s breathtaking region. Before you visit the harbourside city, be sure to check out what Te Puke has to offer, including the avocado orchards and citrus fruits that thrive in the region. Experience Comvita is also a great pit stop; it’s home to some of the best honey in the region, and visitors get to experience a virtual beehive and see what the world looks like to a honeybee. There are many walking trails near Te Puke, especially in Roydon Downs Bush Reserve, where you’ll get scenic views of the East Cape and Rotorua.
