Arrowtown

The charming town of Arrowtown may be small, but it’s certainly a worthwhile pit stop before reaching areas like Mount Aspiring National Park and Invercargill. The quaint village was once a gold mining hot spot. Enjoy snowboarding and skiing activities down its slopes, and hiking and biking along miles and miles of famous trails. These trails take you through mountains, forests, rivers, and lakes, and they’re relatively easy to trek. As such, a stay in the small village of Arrowtown is guaranteed to be memorable, so make sure to spend a night or two during your travels in South Island.
