Chaslands

Based in the Catlins, Chaslands is a region in the southernmost portion of South Island. Though it lacks a population, you’ll find more than enough landscapes that make Chaslands a desirable place to visit. It’s most prominent feature is its dramatic coastline; there are several luscious beaches that make the coast of Chaslands. These beaches are secluded, making them fantastic spots for romantic sunsets. Nearby the Chasland region is Catlins National Park, home to vibrant gorges, deep forests, and plenty of waterfalls like Mcleans Falls and Cathedral Coves. These two waterfalls are the kind you see in travel magazines, hosting high rising cascades and picturesque vegetation to complement them. Next time you’re in the Chaslands, be sure to give its outdoors a quick visit; you might stumble upon some pretty waters.
