Located outside of Muscat, Oman, 40 kilometers into the Wahiba Sands Desert amid its golden dunes, sits this private, all-inclusive glamping experience—complete with stunning Bedouin luxury tents. Stays are 24 to 48 hours in duration, and only one booking is allowed per day, so guests will never share this property with other travelers.

The entire set-up can accommodate up to 16 guests among six to eight bedroom tents, and each deluxe desert tent can accommodate two adults, as well as one child age 11 or under. For guests interested in the four-person family tents, they will have to inquire for an updated total booking price, as the family tents are more expensive.

Based on guests' needs, the tents can be set up accordingly, each with its own unique interior—both comfortable and stylish. Furnishings include colorful lanterns, as well as intricate rugs and cushions characteristic of the area, and the beds are outfitted with crisp linens. Meanwhile, the private bathroom tents are spacious and have showers with running hot water, as well as sinks and chemical toilets. Guests should note that there is no air conditioning in the tents.

While staying in the desert, guests will get to enjoy the clear, starry sky by night and the white sandy beach by day—truly giving them the best of both worlds. This unique glamping experience takes place 40 kilometers into the Wahiba Sands Desert, which sits approximately four hours by car from Muscat, Oman—the capital city. Throughout the desert, guests will find a variety of different dunes, including dunes as high as 100 meters on the ocean, as well as wide-flat expanses of land, salt flats, and more. Additionally, the desert is 12,500 square kilometers in size, and its diverse flora and fauna feature 16,000 invertebrates, in addition to 200 other species of wildlife, and 150 species of native flora.

The closest airport is the Muscat International Airport, which is the main international airport in Oman.

The trip begins in a Landcruiser Jeep, as a private driver takes guests through the dunes and past wild camels, leading them to the glamping tents in the middle of the desert. Guests will then climb up onto a camel and go for a sunset ride, while their luggage is transported in the Jeeps to the accommodation. The manager of the property will then meet guests and show them the amazing views from up atop one of the higher dunes in the area.

Guests will travel down the dune on the camels to the glamping property, where they will be welcomed with a drink and given time to get settled in the luxurious bedroom tent. Later on, they can watch their meal being cooked by the private chef over the campfire and enjoy a romantic candlelight dinner.

Waking up the following morning after a peaceful and noise-free night's sleep, guests will be greeted with a delicious brunch spread, with the sun shining across the desert's dunes as the backdrop. The professional guides can then take guests, if they so desire, on an in-depth tour of the desert to learn more about the secrets of the Bedouins, or glampers can choose to pull out a good vacation book and kick back on one of the lounge chairs, taking a dip in the desert oasis to cool off as needed.
