Scenic views
Overlooking the San Blas’ shores and suspended over the crystal blue ocean and stunning corals, these lodges have a sublime view of the pure and mysterious Panamian rainforest. The Cainora island is only a short boat ride north and the restricted development in the region makes the island a cultural hotspot. The island is the ultimate relaxation spot with coconuts clinking together whilst the crisp ocean breeze hydrates Panama's panoramic landscape.

There are a variety of destinations for visitors to choose from. Canoira Island is a private island perfect for building sandcastles with the children and Islandia Island and Akwapuk Island are great locations for snorkelling. There's only a two-hour hike to the rainforest's idyllic waterfall where travellers can explore the island's medicinal and edible plants. Guests can catch a boat up Sangandi River to spot monkeys, exotic birds and Caiman in the rainforests.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the island's culture and tradition with the mola makers in Achutupu, or witness the intricate process of making coconut soap and pressing sugarcane. The Library and Museum of Ailigandi has a major focus on the Kuna Revolution and is definitely worth a visit, and an enlightening tour to the Kuma Cemetery provides an insight into the local's life and death rituals. This tour ends with an inspiring mountain climb.
